Buck Reilly’s a lot like the rest of us–trying to make ends meet and hoping for better times. He’s living in a Key West hotel and operates Last Resort Charter and Salvage aboard a 1946 Grumman Widgeon flying boat, hunting for sunken treasure and taking on an occasional passenger, no questions asked. But when he delivers a mysterious woman to a mission boat destined for Cuba, things start going downhill quick. He faces down the dark forces of Santeria priests, Cuban Secret Police, and an FBI agent with a grudge. Buck has nothing but ingenuity to save his skin and the lives he put in peril … and prevent a war with America’s longest-running enemy … When you see the world through Buck Reilly’s eyes, the view will never be the same.

Okay, call me out of touch or hiding under some rock, but where have these Buck Reilly books been?!?!!? So much fun and to call RRR a page turner would be a complete understatement! I can’t put it down! It has everything, fun plot, moves like a rocket, and little time for a boring, overladdened back story. The action happens fast,
so it is the perfect book for modern day ADD readers. Well done John H. Cunningham, well done!

I love how John has evolved this series into worldwide international thrillers without forsaking the Keys treasure, boats, and planes vibe. As Buck is thrust into further turmoil over his heritage the plot twists and turns, taking his faithful group and vintage seaplane to incredible European destinations, steeped in history and treachery. I loved every page of this adventure.

John Cunningham does it again with a Buck Reilly tale that keeps the pages moving. It is both entertaining and informative regarding Key West’s earliest founders, but not all treasure is silver and gold.
